Advanced Automation & Flexible Manufacturing
R&S Machining has integrated advanced automation and cutting-edge technology to enhance efficiency and consistency across our operations. Our horizontal machining centers are equipped with a Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS), enabling streamlined production and intelligent workflow management.

This system continuously monitors programs, tooling, and production schedules to ensure each machine is fully prepared for uninterrupted operation. By coordinating resources automatically, we reduce downtime and maintain steady production flow.

Our FMS plays a critical role in our processes. When variation is detected, the system can make necessary adjustments to maintain accuracy and keep production moving without compromising quality.

Collaborative Robotics & Lights-Out Production
R&S Machining utilizes MiR autonomous mobile robots and Universal Robots collaborative automation to support continuous, around-the-clock production. These robotic systems enhance efficiency by enabling consistent, 24/7 operation across key machining areas.

Within our 5-axis department, MiR and Universal Robots assist with automated loading and unloading of machines at cycle completion. This integration reduces manual handling, improves workflow consistency, and maximizes spindle uptime.

Automated Pallet Systems for Continuous Production
R&S Machining utilizes automated pallet changer (APC) systems to support efficient, uninterrupted production. Our pallet systems allow multiple parts and jobs to be preloaded into a centralized pallet pool, enabling machines to transition seamlessly between operations with minimal manual intervention.

Once a machining cycle is complete, the APC automatically removes the finished pallet and returns it to the pallet pool while loading the next scheduled job. This automated exchange process reduces downtime, increase spindle utilization, and supports lights-out manufacturing.
