FMS
We have added automation and cutting edge technology to R&S Machining, Inc. Our Horizontal Machines are equipped with FMS, Flexible Manufacturing System.
This automation will monitor programs, tools, and schedules, making sure the machine has everything it needs to make the part.
The machines probing ability is a large part of the monitoring process. Through this, many things can be inspected. If any changes occur, the machines are equipped to make adjustments to keep production in motion without sacrificing quality.
MIR & UNIVERSAL ROBOTS
MiR and Universal Robots are used to work around the clock. Using robotic automation allows for production to be full tilt, running 24/7. MiR and UR specializes in the 5 axis department, loading and unloading machines when a cycle is complete.
AUTOMATED PALLET CHANGERS
Automatic pallet changers allow machines to be preloaded with various parts and jobs into a pallet pool. Cycles can then run through the night with little to no human interaction. The pallet changer unit, located inside the APC (automatic pallet changer) automatically removes pallets with completed cycles into the pallet pool and reloads a new pallet to be run thereafter.
